Project Selection- Film

Film production is something that interests me through its various aspects of creativity and hard work. Once watching Ferris Bueller and its documentary on the behind the scenes struggles, I learned a great amount about how important it is to write a script that flows well, cast the people that represent your vision of the character best, the significance of camera angles and editing, and numerous other factors. Additionally, the Newsroom gave me a vastly different aspect on film production by presenting me with a view on displaying the news and real life events that impact the public, which I enjoyed learning about. By watching these forms of media, I figured out that I would show strength in writing a script and coming up with creative ideas to make a cohesive product. I'd also enjoy dressing people and the wardrobe because I've always liked fashion. On the other hand, there are some things such as filming the best shots and stress of time management that I wouldn't be as strong with. In terms of filming, I would likely work hard at perfecting the way the film looks and struggle with the best results. As for time management, I can be known to procrastinate and I may find conflict in finding time to film in my busy life for this project.
